#010: Everest Bakery Café Bistro

Some friends and I drove to the Cape Palliser Lighthouse on Easter Sunday, and stopped by Featherston for a break.

#009: Becs Cafe

I totally agree.
Seeing this sign on my way up to university (only another few metres uphill) made my day.

20140425-191042.jpg

The second one is Japanese, and unlike the others, it actually says, “So, how about some tea?”, which always cracks me up.

Contains hot chocolate, no marshmallows.

I’m so used to referring to this place as Ramsey House, but the more recent campus users won’t understand me if I call it so, because they’ve become accustomed to the Becs Cafe sign outside.

They’re open quite early to ridiculously late.
Shows that they certainly know how to work things alongside an airport.

Getting to see the aeroplanes from such wide windows pretty much made my eyes sparkle. If only I had a car… I may have been popping in here every weekend.

From the one below onward, the second floor of the cafe.

The owner is Japanese, so there are some dishes inspired by the country – like the seared tuna salad on the board, and the chicken teriyaki burger (photo to follow below).
